Did you leave your holiday shopping a bit too late? Will you find yourself in Paris over the next few weeks and you’re wondering how to navigate finding quality gems in a sea of stores that sell fast fashion and other cheap items?
Have no fear - we’re here to help you out with five of our favorite places to shop in Paris for unique and high quality items. Shopping in Paris can feel overwhelming, but with a little direction, it’s one of the best things to do in Paris, especially if you love discovering thoughtful gifts.
We’ll help you find the right gift for someone you love (or for yourself!) while supporting small businesses in the City of Light… win-win, right?

Landline Paris
Landline Paris, in the 11e arrondissement, is so dreamy that if you were to stumble upon it without a recommendation, chances are you wouldn’t be able to resist popping inside. They have something for everyone. For kids, you’ll find gorgeous toys (animals, sailboats, boardgames) made from natural materials. For the nostalgic, they have a beautiful paper and pen selection made in Europe. For the fashionista, their clothes are a dream come true. Everything is curated with proprietor Caroline’s eye for style, perfect if you’re searching for unique souvenirs in Paris that don’t feel mass-produced.

Messy Nessy’s Cabinet
If you’re looking for something a little more quirky, you won’t want to miss this cabinet of Parisian curiosities in the 5e arrondissement. You could walk away with Seine water, sand from the Catacombs, 20 minute reading candles, various artist’s prints, unique books, and vintage finds. This shop is a treasure tucked away in the 5e arrondissement and a great answer to the question of where to shop in Paris beyond the usual neighborhoods.
Do you have a day packed full of shopping, and you’re wondering where you can get a quick lunch that isn’t a tourist trap in the 5e arrondissement? Around the corner from Messy Nessy’s Cabinet, you’ll find Chanceux - an incredible sandwich shop with delicious fresh juice and killer espresso. Take a break, rest your legs, fill up, and then hit the road again.

Empreintes
We recently had the good luck to be invited to discover Empreintes in the third arrondissement, a concept store that features work from artisans across France. These gifts are well worth the investment; it’s truly a classy collection of wonderful home goods. You’ll find beautiful pottery, handmade earrings, an array of dazzling lamps, candles, scarves, and more. It’s a lovely stop if you appreciate craftsmanship while exploring the Marais.
Bangla Begum
Maybe you’re not looking for toys or homegoods or clothes this season. Maybe your heart is set on purchasing a piece of jewelry for someone you love (or, again, yourself!) Bangla Begum in the third arrondissement is a fantastic option for this - think bold, golden, colorful jewelry infused with confidence and joy. That’s what you’ll find here.
Artazart
A classic bookshop/gallery in the 10e arrondissement that we’ve recommended over and over, and that we’ll continue to sing about until our caroling days are over. Artazart is filled with unique and colorful artistic gems. From graphic novels to a host of coffee table books - this shop also has something for everyone. Be careful, though - it’s easy to get lost for hours perusing the shelves!
Need a coffee? You’re in luck! Just across the canal, you’ll find Radiodays, the perfect pre or post-shopping place for a cheeky cookie, a great cup of coffee, and general good vibes. Of course, there are so many places we love to eat and drink in the 10e, so be sure to grab our guide for more tips for visiting Paris and making the most of your time in the city.
